Out & About

Hello Everyone!
Hope you had a good day!

Today my boyfriend and I went to Hastings since it was nice weather. For those of you who are not from around the South East of England, Hastings is a seaside town with cute vintage shops and a seafront full of amusements. I took my camera with me, planning to take loads of photo's but I just forgot. I enjoyed spending time with my boyfriend and I didn't feel the need to pick up my camera. I took a few silly ones on my phone but that was more for me personally. I didn't even go on any social media that day. Sometimes it is nice to have a day off from social media and just enjoy your day with no interruptions.

On the way back from Hastings, we decided to stop off in Rye for dinner and a little wander. Rye is a small town just before Hastings and has lots of cute, vintage/charity/gift shops. It is really nice to have a walk around and just browse in the small shops. While we were wondering around, we found a nice street where I thought it would be good for some outfit photo's.
So this is what I wore today, hope you like it!

Bomber Jacket - Primark (old)
Blouse - New Look
Jeans - Topshop
Shoes - New Look
Bag - Topshop

Even though the sun was out, I decided to wear skinny jeans because I knew it would be breezy along the coast and wearing a skirt/dress wasn't a great option. The jeans are from Topshop and they are so comfy which is why I thought they would be perfect for the day we had planned.

I chose to wear this cream high neck blouse from New Look as I thought it would keep me cool if I did get too hot, plus it would still look nice when I take my jacket off. It's light and airy so it was perfect for the weather. My lace up shoes are also from New Look and to be honest they were not the most comfy choice. However I did take a huge box of plasters and I chucked a spare pair of shoes in the boot in case I really couldn't walk in them. I did it though, I made it through the whole day with these shoes one but towards the end, I did have to put a few plasters on.

My floral bomber jacket is from Primark, I brought it last year but I haven't worn it much. It's only recently that I have started to wear it more. Which is good because I do like it and at the moment it is the perfect weather for me to wear without getting too hot. There are so many similar styles on the high street at the moment so I'm sure you would be able to find one if you wanted too.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed it! Feel free to leave any comments below and I will get back to you as soon as I can!
Have a nice evening!

Goodbye Colour

Hello Everyone!
Hope you all had a good day!

You may have noticed that my hair is now ginger. I thought I would share with you the process. I have been wanting to strip my hair for a while as I have dyed it so much that I had some build up of colour on the lower part of my hair. It really needed sorting and none of the hair dressers I asked wanted to do it. So I decided to do it myself. My friend Paige suggested Colour B4 as she has used it before and said it was worth doing.

I started dyeing my hair when I was 15 so I have been dyeing my hair non-stop for 5 years! No wonder I had a lot of colour build up. I am naturally blonde and I actually used to tell people that I would never dye my hair...well they do say 'never say never'. Since then I have been brown, dark brown, red, bright red, brown, light brown and purple. Over the last couple of months my hair became a mixture of the colours and it was uneven, faded and not the colour I wanted.

Every time I dyed my hair, I always made sure that my hair was in good condition. After using a good shampoo and conditioner, I would towel dry my hair and use three different serums. I hardly ever use straighteners or hair dryers which also helps keep it in good condition. I knew that stripping my hair would make it dry and straw like, so I brought some treatments that will help my hair regain moisture after the process. To be honest, since I have stripped my hair, I have used one treatment. Just one. I just carry on with my usual hair routine and it is fine. It's not dry and it is as if I never stripped it!

My hair before using Colour B4 -

As you can see, the lower half of my hair is darker than the top of my hair. You can also see my horrible looking roots! The roots made my hair look dirty and I hated it. I was so tempted to dye it again but I knew it would be worth stripping it.

My hair after using Colour B4 -

I knew before I stripped my hair that it wouldn't completely take the colour off but I was still a bit surprised that my hair turned ginger! It has grown on me though. :)
I did have to strip it again because it was still quite dark on the lower half of my hair. It did take some more of the colour off and made it a bit lighter. The photo's are after the first round of Colour B4 so it is darker in the photos whereas it is a bit lighter in real life.

You may have seen on my Twitter or Pinterest that I have been posting about wanting lilac hair and I am finally going to do it!
Yesterday, I spoke to a new hairdresser who was willing to help me strip my hair once more and then help me dye it to the colour I want! I am hoping to have it done before I go to Disneyland on the 12th of June but I will have to work out when it is best for her to do it. This is because she will need to strip my hair again but using a stronger and professional kit to get the last of the colour build up off. She also said that it would need cutting, just to tidy the ends up and then she will be able to start the process of dyeing my hair lilac! I can't wait and I will keep you updated!

Bit of a different post today but I hope you liked it! Let me know what you think!

Wednesday Styling - Soft Pastels

Hello Everyone!
Hope you all had a good start to the week!

I spotted these oversized boyfriend jeans on the Topshop website and I instantly fell in love with them. They do look huge and will probably swamp me but it doesn't hurt to dream. :) I really like the soft pastel blue colour and I thought they would look great with some nice suede pieces; which is why I chose this pastel pink suede jacket that is also from Topshop. I loved the colours together and thought they looked good together.
You can see all item details here -

As the jacket and jeans went so well together, I wanted to keep the rest of the outfit simple, so I chose a cream/white high neck top that is sleeveless and a pair of chunky white heels. I think they are both Topshop again but you can double check via the link above.

To add a bit of detail to the outfit, I chose a light grey suede bag that has some fringe detail on the front. Plus I thought it went well with the pastel colours of the jeans and jacket.
Sticking to the pastel theme, I chose the creme cup lipstick from MAC. I absolutely love this colour and it is perfect for everyday wear! I also went for some silver rings that have a white gem detail in the middle and a pastel blue watch.

I actually own the pastel blue polaroid and I love it! I have wanted a polaroid since I was 14 years old and I was so happy when I finally got one! I thought it would be the perfect accessory for the outfit and it also matches the pastel theme.

What do you think of the outfit? Would you have styled the jeans differently? I would love to know, so feel free to leave any comments below and I will get back to you as soon as I can!

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed it!
Have a nice evening!

Floral Midi Skirt

Hello Everyone!
Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

Anyone else here that doesn't want the long weekend to be over? I attend a family wedding on Saturday but other than that, I have had a nice, relaxed weekend. It makes a change as usually we are out on a family day out or something but it was nice staying in with the family this time.

The wedding was lovely and I really enjoyed it, I'm not going to go into detail as I would rather keep it private. Although, I have decided to share my outfit with you as I love it so much! I wore this amazing floral midi skirt from Mod Dolly and it was the perfect occasion to wear it!

This is how I decided to style the skirt, I hope you like it!

High Neck Top - New Look
Midi Skirt - Mod Dolly
Red Block Heels - New Look
Red Bag - Topshop

Just realised that you can see that I have goosebumps on my arms! It was a bit cold when taking these photos! haha :)

This skirt is just perfect! It is so flattering and feminine! I felt so elegant in the skirt, whether I looked it or not is a different thing! haha :) Plus it is floral and as you know I love anything floral. The chiffon is so soft and comfy but I had to make sure that I didn't catch it on anything as it is a delicate fabric.

I decided to base my whole outfit around this skirt. I wanted to go for a vintage/feminine style and so it was a bit difficult trying to find a top. However, I knew exactly what shoes I wanted so I headed straight to New Look for these red beauties. I was lucky enough to find the top in there as well!
I wasn't so lucky with finding a bag though, so I had to use my red bag from Topshop but luckily it was a similar red and matched the shoes.

For my hair and make up, I took inspiration from the 1940's. I really liked the vintage roll hairstyle and I have wanted to create it for a while so I thought I would go for it. I managed to find a hair kit in Boots, that supplied the hair roll and some bobby pins. The instructions were easy to follow and I love my hair in this style! It's perfect for creating big, bouncy curls as well! After seeing various versions of this hairstyle on Pinterest, I decided to add some little flowers in my hair to match my skirt. Plus I thought it made the style more wedding like.
Sticking with the 1940's theme, I chose a bright red lipstick and eyeliner to perfect the look.

This is my most favourite outfit so far, I feel that it really shows off my feminine/girly side and I really want to own more skirts like this one!

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post! I would love to know what you think about my outfit so please, feel free to leave any comments below and I will reply as soon as I can! :)

Have a lovely evening!

Wednesday Style - Crochet & Flowers

Hello Everyone!
Hope you all had a good week so far!

I don't know about you but I am forever dreaming for the warmer weather! I'm sure I'm not the only one ;) Especially after the last couple of days with the weather being horrible! Typical British weather I suppose, I hope it brightens up soon!

Since I have been dreaming of warmer weather, I thought I would use it as inspiration for today's style post! Hope you like it! :)
You can see all the item details here -

Flower crowns. Some people love them, others despise them. I love them! For ages I have been wanting to do a photoshoot with a flower crown and a lace, floaty dress. I have a lace dress so hopefully I will be able to do one this summer! The crown I used in the set is from Topshop and it is one of the nicer ones that I have seen. I really like the colours and the sizes of the flowers on this crown. Admittedly, you can get some really horrible, cheap looking crowns with small, colourless flowers on. I prefer to go for the more expensive ones that are bigger and more colourful.

I decided to style the crown with a crochet dress as I wanted to go for a festival/boho vibe. I really like the detailing on the dress as it is a mix of the cream fabric and lace/crochet panels. I thought that a light blue denim jacket would go best with the outfit as it adds a casual effect and they are easy to wear.

For the accessories, I chose tan heeded sandals and a tan fringe bag. I thought that they will add to the festival/boho look of the outfit. I think they are both from Topshop but you can double check by clicking on the link above! I also chose round mirrored sunglasses and bright red lipstick to finish the outfit off!

Do you love or loathe flower crowns? If you do like them, how would you style a flower crown?
Feel free to leave any comments and I will reply as soon as I can! :)

Vintage Floral Jacket

Hello Everyone!
Hope you all had a good start to the week!

Today's weather in the South East has just been horrible! Rain, rain, rain and wind. Typical British weather I suppose. haha :/
I wanted to get some more outfit photo's today but it just wasn't going to happen, it was bad enough trying to get my daily outfit for Instagram, let alone getting some for a post! So my boyfriend and I stayed in and had a day of watching films and playing on the Xbox. Like usual the weather did brighten up around 5pm but that was the day gone. I hope the weather is going to be nice tomorrow as I really want to get some photo's while I'm in Canterbury.

Anyway, for today's outfit I have decided to show you my new favourite jacket! It is from Beyond Retro and I just love it! Hope you like how I styled it! :)

Silk Jacket - Beyond Retro (Vintage)
Top - New Look
Ripped Jeans - Topshop
Chunky Boots - Primark
Bag - Topshop

I am seriously in love with this silk jacket!! I found it at Beyond Retro's garage sale over the weekend  for only £4!! The sale was just amazing! I could have spent hours... and so much money there. Everything was under £10 and of course it was all vintage since it was Beyond Retro's sale.
I brought two skirts, this jacket and four silk scarves all for £15! Annoyingly one of the skirts is a bit small for me but there is no point in taking it back as it was only £4 and it was all the way in Dalston, London. I will be doing a post on what I brought, with photo's and all the info!
The jacket is in the style of a shirt with a wide zip as the fastening on the front. It also has two chest pockets with a flap over each one. It is quite delicate because it is 100% silk but as long as I look after it and wash it right, it should be fine. I fell in love with the khaki floral print as soon as my boyfriend picked it out for me. I can't wait to wear it more!

Since I was basing my outfit around the jacket, I wanted to go for a retro grunge/edgy look. Which is why I decide to pair the jacket with my ripped skinnies from Topshop. I thought they would be perfect to give the outfit the edge I wanted. Again I chose my chunky boots from Primark to add to the grunge/edgy look. For the top I thought I would choose a plain colour so it doesn't take any of the attention away from the jacket. This is why I chose my high neck ribbed top from New Look. Plus I like the way it contrasts against the jacket and I think it makes the jacket stand out more.

Admittedly my hair looks a bit scruffy but to be honest I think it adds to the edgy look more. Plus I don't think it looks too bad ;)

I really love this outfit at the moment so expect to see more outfits styled around this amazing jacket! You can see these over on my Instagram - @michaelapunnett02,  as I probably won't do an outfit post every time I style it.

What do you think of my outfit? Would you have styled the jacket differently? Feel free to let me know and I will reply as soon as I can! :)

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed it!

Tile Print Trousers

Hello Everyone!
Hope you all had a good week!

It's been a bit of a busy week for me! I had lots of things to do throughout the week and then on Wednesday, I attended my first press event with the lovely Paige from Paige Joanna. She was kind enough to invite me along after we finished work at Mod Dolly. Then on Saturday, I attended the ELLE x GHD event with Paige. After, I met my boyfriend and we went to the Beyond Retro Garage sale; which was amazing!! I will be posting about it soon so make sure you look out for it!

Here is today's outfit post, hope you like it!

Kimono - New Look
Crop Top - Topshop
Printed Trousers - New Look
Lace Up Flats - New Look
Red Bag - Topshop
Hat - Primark

Since the weather brightened up and it is slightly warmer, I thought it was a good time to bring out the kimono. This one is from New Look, I brought it last year but there are so many different and similar versions of this one on the high street. I chose this one because of the crochet detail on the sleeves and on the hem. I love wearing  kimono's during spring/summer, they are just so easy to wear and will go with almost everything! I own a couple but they are mainly black, so this year I am planning on investing in some that are more colourful and have bright, bold prints on!

I brought the printed trousers from New Look around the same time as the kimono but again there are so many out in store now that you could easily find similar ones. I think a pair of comfy jogger style trousers are a must have for the summer months. Easy to wear, keep you cool and the bright prints will update your outfit straight away. Just add a pair of sandals and a crop top and your set to go!

My crop top is from Topshop and it is unbelievably comfy! I love how easy it is to wear and it also comes in other colours. I decided to pair it with my printed trousers because I didn't want to take any of the attention away from the trousers. The red bag is also from Topshop and it is the perfect size for everyday use, I can even fit my DSLR camera in it!

That's all for this post, thank you so much for reading! Hope you enjoyed it!

AX Paris Wishlist

Hello Everyone!
Hope you all had a good day!

Recently I have seen so many amazing items from AX Paris and I really wanted to share them with you! I have decided to create a wishlist for my 'must haves' at the moment. All items will be linked under the images, so you don't have to search for ages if you like one or a few of the items.

(Not sure why there is an off white background on the images,
it is meant to be white but my photoshop is being annoying.)

Starting from the top -

Round Sunglasses - £8
Statment Earrings - £3.99
Sunflower Co-Ord - £30
Floral Playsuit - £25
Black Chunky Sandals - £25.99
Floral Kimono - £20
White Chunky Sandals - £27.99
Paisley Trousers - £22
White Ripped Jeans - £28

I am going to start with the amazing sunflower co-ord set because it is my favourite out of all the items. I love how bright the sunflower print is and I just love it! The little pom pom trim is a really nice detail and I think it adds a boho/festival vibe to the set. The perfect set for lounging around in the sun!

I don't know about you but I keep seeing the floral playsuit everywhere! I keep seeing this playsuit on AX Paris' advert boards around London and it just makes me want it more and more every time I see it! I love the floral print and the bell sleeves are perfect for the 70's trend. Just add the circle earrings and the black chunky sandals and you have an outfit that is great for summer!

The chunky black sandals are amazing! Since I am not that tall, this type of sandal is perfect for me as they add some height without wearing heels. I love the chunky style as well, I do have a similar style but they are so worn out from me wearing them. I wore them so much that I need a new pair; and I think this is the pair I am going to go for.

Like most people I just love kimono's in summer. They are so easy to chuck on to cover up and where they are so light and floaty, they also keep you cool. The only kimono's I own are Black with a little print, so it would be nice to branch out and have more bright and colourful ones. I just love this one because of the print! I really like the watercolour flowers effect against the off white/cream background colour. I have seen that they also do other tops and styles in this print and I may just have to get one... or two.

I found these paisley trousers in New Look on Tuesday and I instantly fell in love with them! I love the paisley print and I think the colours go really well together. Since they are a relaxed jogger type fit, I can imagine them being extremely comfy to wear! I think I may have to invest in this pair because they would be perfect for those days where it is slightly cooler but you don't want to wear jeans.

As much as I like the white ripped jeans, I'm not sure if I will pull them off.
1. Because they are white and I'm worried I will ruin them.
2. I don't think they would suit me.
I might have to force myself to try a similar pair on somewhere and see how I feel about them. But at the moment I am happy to keep them on my wishlist before I decide to buy them.

Like the black chunky sandals, I love the white ones as well! They are a slightly different style that I would love to try. These ones do have a bit of a heel but I don't mind to much. They still look comfy to wear and they would look great with the paisley trousers or the sunflower co-ord.

What is your favourite item/s from the wishlist? Is there anything that you are currently loving on AX Paris? I would love to know! Feel free to leave any comments below and I will reply as soon as I can!

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed it!

Wednesday Style - Boho Chic

Hello Everyone!
Hope you have had a good week so far!

For this weeks style, I wanted to channel my inner boho chic and create an outfit that would be great for festivals or the beach!

This is what I came up with, hope you like it!

You can view all item details here -

How amazing are these tan sandals from Miss Guided!? They are just perfect for summer and are just so pretty! I love them! They also come in black and they are an instant update to any outfit. They have gone straight to the top of my never ending wishlist. :)

The cream boho blouse is from New Look and I love it! I have actually tried it on in store and it is unbelievably comfy! It is a jersey type fabric so it will keep you cool in the warm weather, plus it falls nicely on the body.

I really need to invest in a pair of denim shorts for summer as I do not own any! I have fallen in love with these ones from Topshop and I am aiming to get this pair (or similar) soon. The choker and rings are also from Topshop and I think they add some much needed detail to the outfit. Plus the rings have some pretty stones that add a bit of colour as well.

I chose the tan fringe bucket bag to match the shoes and to add to the boho vibe. The bag is from Zara  and it perfect for adding a boho/festival vibe to any outfit!

Now you can't have a boho style outfit without a flower crown! This gorgeous one is from Forever 21 and I just love the colours! My favourite flowers are roses so this crown is just perfect for me! I really want to buy one for summer but I can't find one that I really like. Even though I like this one, I want  to have a look around before I order it. I have seen a couple that I like from Rock n Rose, so I just need to chose which one.

What do you think of today's style? Have you got a favourite piece? Feel free to let me know in the comments and I will reply as soon as I can! :)

Have a nice evening!
