Feeling Blue

Hello everyone!
Hope you're all well!

I can't believe it's October already! I am honestly glad that September is over though. It was quite a difficult month for me, uni especially, which led to me not blogging for a while and I have really missed it. I thought that giving my uni work priority and letting my blog slip a bit was okay but I have realised over the past month that I shouldn't do that. Of course my uni work is important but it is also important to have a break from it all! Have a bit of 'me' time and not stress about it for at least an hour or so. Just relax or do what you love for a little while otherwise, you will find that you're not happy and you'll most likely become more stressed because of it. The past couple of weeks have been so stressful for me, I broke down a couple of times because I couldn't cope with the stress. Today is the first day of the past month, that I have felt okay and felt that I could leave my uni work for a bit and actually blog. I might regret it later or even in a couple of days but at the moment I am happy and that's all that matters.

These photos were taken towards the beginning of September, I remember feeling quite hot wearing this outfit because of the warm weather but I think this sort of outfit will be perfect now it's Autumn!

I found the floral blouse in a Charity shop in my local town, its meant to be oversized but it is also a size bigger than I would usually buy but I loved the print so much that I had to have it! Maybe I could adapt it somehow to fit a bit better but for now, I am happy to tuck it into my trousers or whatever. :)
It is originally from Topshop and it still looks in good condition although I think I ruined the fabric a little by washing it wrong! but it's fineee haha

Anyway, I chose to style the blouse with these rust orange/red coloured trousers I found in the Topshop sale a few months back. They were only £5!! I love the colour and they are perfect for Autumn. Plus it's a good way to brighten up your day, especially now it's getting a bit darker outside. The blouse has a similar colour to these in the print so I thought the trousers would really bring out the print on the blouse.

Blouse - Charity Shop
Trousers - Topshop
Bag - Fiorelli
Loafers - Primark
Neck Tie - DIY

For my shoes, I chose these cute tassel loafers from Primark. I love them! They're so comfy and I'm not sure if you can see in the photos but there is actually a bit of faux 'pony' fur for the top of the loafers. They do have more colours, I think they have some leopard print ones which would be a good buy since animal print is on trend for Autumn/Winter.

Thank you so much for reading and hope you enjoyed it! Let me know what you think!
Hope you have a lovely day!

  2. Burnt orange is one of the staple colours in my autumn/winter wardrobe! I always make time for my blog during term-time. It would just make me so unhappy if it slipped away <3
